Technical Lead

Design technical solutions and direct junior engineers, building GenAI applications on AWS Bedrock and Claude, ReactJS front-end portals, and Python backend services with CI/CD and infrastructure automation. Minimum seven years combined.

This role brings a mix of technical design and firsthand development: you will develop API and backend applications following best practices, standards and patterns, and oversee the work of junior engineers along the way.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop technical design or solution architecture and oversee task assignments to junior engineers.
  • Develop GenAI applications, such as using AWS Bedrock, Claude, or other similar GenAIs. Must possess analytical skills in crafting prompts.
  • Develop front-end web portals using ReactJS and JavaScript technologies.
  • Develop reusable and modular UI components for a consistent look and feel across the portal.
  • Develop API or backend software services using Python, with various data stores such as relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL), non-relational databases (DynamoDB, OpenSearch) and cloud storage (AWS S3).
  • Develop and deploy applications to the AWS environment, ideally using scripts to provision the cloud environment that hosts the application.
  • Develop unit tests.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth delivery of assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science or software engineering, or relevant job experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience developing software using Python, web frameworks, AWS and GenAI collectively.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing solution architecture and technical design, covering application architecture, infrastructure (cloud) and DevOps.
  • Experienced in database programming using MySQL, MS SQL, DynamoDB, or OpenSearch.
  • Experienced in AWS cloud provisioning and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with container services such as Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • Enthusiastic about learning and building innovative products.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Great collaborator.
