Solutions Architect - Cloud Migration (Mandarin Speaker Required)

We are seeking a high-caliber Solutions Architect to lead and deliver enterprise-scale cloud migration engagements. This role is critical in bridging business strategy with technical execution, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to design and implement secure, scalable, and production-grade cloud architectures.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with consulting mindset, capable of driving end-to-end migration programs, influencing executive decisions, and delivering measurable business outcomes in complex environments.

This role requires fluency in Mandarin Chinese to effectively engage with China-based and Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.

📅 Cloud Migration Leadership

  • Act as the technical lead and single-threaded owner for large-scale cloud migration programs across the full lifecycle: Assess, Mobilize, Migrate and Modernize.

  • Define migration strategies, operating models, and transformation roadmaps aligned with business objectives

  • Lead Migration Readiness Assessments (MRA) and Migration Portfolio Assessments (MPA) to evaluate application landscapes and recommend optimal migration approaches

👥 Architecture & Design

  • Architect secure, scalable, and cost-optimized landing zones aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework (or equivalent)

  • Design target-state architectures covering infrastructure, application, data, and security domains

  • Establish architectural guardrails, standards, and governance frameworks

🚀 Delivery & Execution

  • Plan and execute wave-based migration strategies, including cutover planning, rollback mechanisms, and risk mitigation

  • Orchestrate cross-functional delivery across infrastructure, applications, networking, security, and operations teams

  • Drive technical decisions on migration tooling, automation, and integration patterns

👤 Stakeholder & Program Management

  • Engage C-level stakeholders and senior leadership to align technical solutions with business outcomes

  • Own project governance including scope, timeline, budget, and executive reporting

  • Lead steering committees, business reviews, and technical workshops

🔒 Security, Compliance & Cost Optimization

  • Implement enterprise-grade cloud security practices (IAM, encryption, network segmentation, compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)

  • Drive FinOps practices including tagging strategies, cost monitoring, budgeting, and optimization (RI/Savings Plans, rightsizing)

  • Ensure workloads meet production-grade SLAs and operational readiness standards

⚠️ Risk & Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, and drive timely resolution

  • Deliver post-migration validation and optimization recommendations

  • Contribute to internal capability building through reusable assets, reference architectures, and best practices

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of experience in Solutions Architecture and/or Cloud Project Delivery, including at least one enterprise-scale migration project (e.g., AWS MAP or equivalent)

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) with ability to conduct technical discussions, workshops, and executive presentations in Mandarin

  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) across:

    • Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, IAM

  • Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies:

    • AWS MGN, DMS, Azure Migrate, or equivalent

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code:

    • Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK

  • Working knowledge of cloud security principles:

    • Least privilege access, network isolation, encryption, compliance frameworks

  • Experience in FinOps / cloud cost optimization

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, stakeholders, and timelines

  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking (VPN, Direct Connect, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin, with ability to influence both technical and business audiences

Preferred

  • Professional certifications:

    • AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect

  • Experience with AWS MAP deliverables (MRA, MPA, Landing Zone design)

  • Exposure to containerization and modernization:

    • Docker, Kubernetes

  • Experience with cloud security services:

    • AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Config, Macie, or equivalents

  • Scripting/automation experience:

    • Python, Bash, or PowerShell

  • Experience with project management tools:

    • Jira, Smartsheet, or equivalent
